Request: Idk if u r ok w/ writing two characters x reader but gavin x rk900 is a popular ship atm + i was wondering if u could do 1 where gavin is bi + rk900 just does not give a fuck who he's with + theyre together. both of them like y/n, another detective, human; gavin doesnt plan on acting on his feelings bc 1, he doesn't realise rk900 likes y/n too + 2, he doesnt think y/n will agree to go w/ both. (Pt 1) I completely understand but thank you for taking this anyway. If we change it, maybe it could be on a case and because its like headcanon for rk900 and gavin to be partners, maybe y/n is partnered with them both. And when they go on a case y/n is hurt and is held hostage by the criminal and rk900 gets all protective of her and is willing to do anything to get her out without her ending up more hurt). Thanks again for taking the request even with a different plot. X

When you walked into the room and called a good morning, two sets of eyes always found you and returned the call, no matter what. They'd ignore an ongoing conversation or examination, and even stop arguing and fighting. This was recognised by everyone who knew them. It was out of character for them. Gavin was a prick and Conan was cold to everyone they crossed… except to each other and you.

You'd done your usual good morning and got your response, getting a small giggle from you as you smiled at the pair before heading down the isles of desk to your own. Both kept their eyes on you till a chuckle was heard. Both turned, sending a glare to the older man a desk or two away, who was accompanied by RK900's predecessor who was also smiling.

"What's funny?" Gavin asked.

"Oh nothing. Just wondering when you two will get the balls to ask Y/N out finally." Hank responded, and Connor nodded along.

Conan's head raised slightly and he glared at Connor, giving an impression on judgement, while Gavin tensed and crossed his arms, and scoffed.

"In case you've forgotten, Gavin and I are already a pair." Conan reminded, and Gavin smirked and nodded.

"But polyamory is a thing." Connor responded with a smug smile. "You both clearly like her, and I do believe she likes you both back, and she did mention to me once she has had polyamorous relationships before. I think she'd be all for the idea."

Gavin and Conan shared a look. The two usually kept their relationship on the low- mostly due to work and people still being judgemental, especially since people sometimes brought up Gavin's previous distaste for androids- until he was assigned with RK900. They knew they could handle the glares and comments and even violence people might throw at them for their relationship, but…

"Look at her." Gavin pointed out, all four turning to see you literally spinning on your chair and talking to the officer behind you- making them laugh as you waited for your computer to load up. "Now remember that the revolution wasn't that long ago. Right outside are protesters and I know for a fact they're getting an idea about mine and Con's relationship. Now imagine what would happen if we dragged her into this?" Gavin defended. Gavin glanced back at his partner who physically flinched, knowing full well what he was talking about.
"I'd not like to risk that." Conan responded.

Hank and Connor looked at each other, before Hank started to chuckle again. "What now?" Gavin asked, frustrated.

"You.. do realise that Y/N is also a police officer-"

"And is more qualified than the both of you?" Connor added on. Both Gavin and Conan's eyebrows pressed together, and Conan's LED started to go yellow as he searched for your file, and realised what his predecessor was talking about.

"She was an agent for the big guns before she decided she wanted to do less missions and more cases, so she chose to work here. In fact, if anything was to happen to the chiefs of the department, Y/N would be automatically be allocated to take over because she's the most experienced and qualified." Hank explained. "I think she can handle a few assholes."

"Okay, we get it- don't you have a case to work on?" Gavin huffed, making the Lieutenant and Android to leave. Gavin and Rk900 looked back at each other. "What do you say?"

"If they're right… in her returning our feelings… I don't see why we couldn't ask her if she'd to be with us." Conan responded. Gavin sighed, uncrossing his arms, and standing straight. Conan faced his partner, fixing Gavin's jacket. "What ideas do you have for a possible date?" He asked.

"Well you don't need coffee, so no coffee date… how about a movie or we let her choose?"

"Sounds good." Conan agreed. "I believe now would be a good time- she hasn't been assigned a case yet, we wouldn't want to interrupt her work."

"…Okay, come on then." Gavin said, both now walking over to your desk.

"Are they actually doing it?" Hank asked a little excitedly, trying not to look too much.

"Yes, they're at her desk now, I've never seen either of them fidget that much…" Connor confirmed. There was a moment of silence, before Connor smiled. "I do believe she said yes."

Hank laughed. "Finally! Maybe now she'll get those two assholes to lighten up!"
